Inside this site you will discover not only the natural beauty of Alaska but hopefully learn a little of it's character as well. I have lived in and travelled this State for nearly 15 years and have talked with people who are as unique and diverse as the landscape itself. There are still many places which I haven't seen but I keep travelling, for me, it is the journey which is fulfilling.
To the left I have thrown in a few Photo Galleries of my idle pursuits, mainly for friends and family who are still 'outside'. And below that you can find my Travelogues, mostly a single page for each location, filled with stories, info and photos from the wonderous places I've visited throughout the State.
I invite you to sit back with some tea and join me for a stroll around the Great State of Alaska. Thanks for visiting...
Fall 2005 Trip - 2 weeks, 2,000 miles covered. Places visited - Denali Highway (east bound), Valdez, Mc Carthy / Kennecott, Wrangell - St. Elias Park, Taylor Highway, Dawson City - YT, Tok, Black Rapids, Denali Highway (west bound), Denali Park, Fairbanks.
The Rhino Gallery is being updated weekly as weather permits outings to the Murphy Dome area.
I would like to thank the National Park Service and the U.S. Dept. of the Interior - Alaska Region. These guys are not always the most popular group in Alaska but they have made a HUGE effort over the last several years in building some terrific visitor facilities throughout this State. In addition, they have also put together some wonderful web site information which I link to frequently within this site.
I would also like to thank my wife, Lori, for being such a great passenger, map reader and cook on our long journeys. (And for not saying anything about my speed when we travel in the Impala!)
